10 weeks

Sean had his 2 month checkup a couple weeks ago and was 14lb 7.5oz and 24in! He is growing exceptionally well and has outgrown some of his 6mo clothes already! His reflux seems to have completely disappeared this past week and he is such a joy to be around. And since he's feeling much better, he enjoys his bouncer and swing, giving me an occasional break! Little Robert and Sean seem to be best friends already...you can see it in their eyes when they talk to each other =) We're thankful to be happy, healthy and doing well.

Always so happy in the morning...

7 weeks

We discovered that Sean has acid reflux last week but it seems to be much better already. After he was a few weeks old I noticed he wasn't sleeping much, was getting very fussy at times, as if he was in pain, and he was spitting up an awful lot. So a trip to the dr also showed that he actually had a mild ear infection from the reflux. I am still breastfeeding but supplementing with formula and rice cereal once a day. The cereal keeps the formula down, and occasional Mylanta helps with the reflux and pain as well. I also stopped eating wheat, which is a very common allergic food, and all of this has made a tremendous difference! He sleeps a little better and is just overall much happier all day long! He has been cooing and making sweet baby noises a lot for the past couple weeks. It is getting more fun every day and Little Robert really enjoys being around him :)

6 weeks

Here are some pics from the last couple of weeks. Sean gave us his first real smile on April 18th (4 wks) and is becoming more and more "awake" every day and interacting with us. His smiles are so cute :) I still haven't been able to capture one on camera yet (just the wide open mouth ones). We went to the fair a week ago and he slept the whole time, and Robert went on his first ferris wheel ride with Daddy! Sean weighed in at 12lbs 2oz a few days ago, so he's growing very well - but not quite like Robert did (Robert was mostly on formula from the beginning). Sean is definitely a big boy, just a little trimmer and not so many rolls!!

4 Weeks

Sean is doing great! We have experienced the neatest thing...he seems to sense when Little Robert is near him and stretch his body towards him. His big brother can just quietly walk into a room and not even be in his sight, and Sean will notice Robert is there....baby is crying, will be continued!

2 Weeks

Sean is 2 weeks old today! He had his last check-up at 1wk and is doing perfect, and his next well check-up is at 2 months. He is starting to stay awake more during the day and loves to look around. When he cries, Little Robert says "Mommy he's crying, go get him!" and he goes to check on him. He absolutely loves his little brother and we are so happy he enjoys being a big brother. He even asks to hold him every day and talks to him a lot. It is so sweet! We're all doing well and I am so thankful I am able to exclusively breastfeed Sean. Still no bottles since he was about 4 days so I think we've got the hang of it this time!! Look how fast he's growing!!...
Birth: 9lb 4oz
3 days: 9lb
1 wk: 9lb 8oz
2 wks: 10lb 2oz

1 Week

Sean will be 1 wk old tomorrow! He is adjusting beautifully to life outside of his mommy and is so peaceful! I am so grateful to have a calm baby this time and it seems so easy after having a very VERY energetic boy the first time. I am happy to say I have been able to breastfeed exclusively for over 2 days now, which is a huge blessing! No bottles and it's free!! And I actually feel normal since I've been getting pretty decent sleep, something I never experienced until after a few months after Robert was born! I know there are sure be those difficult days too, but so far life as a mommy of 2 is wonderful! Little Robert seems to have really matured since his brother was born...it's as though he knows he has a responsibility and grew up over night! We still get a taste of his temper occasionally but he is doing incredibly well considering he has to share his mommy & daddy now!
